I have installed Tapur on my Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bits OS. The answering function runs fine. However..... I can't seem to record in MP3 format.
First I have downloaded the "Lame MP3 ACM Codec" via the help menu. I stored the files into a directory. In this directory, I right-clicked the INF-file and selected 'install'. The Codec installed fine, as far as I can tell, since I got alle the 'Are you really, really, really shure you want to install' popups and so on.
I opened Tapur, and went op 'Options' via the 'file' menu. In the 'Setup to answer' tab, as well as in the 'Voice Recordingam not able to select 'MP3'. I rebooted the system, but that did not change anything.
I have downloaded and installed Audacity. Exporting audio in MP3 is no problem in this software.
I have downloaded the LAME encoder from the Audacity site as well. This seemed to be a newer version. I have installed this one as well, but is does not work either in Tapur. Rebooting after this install did not change anything as well.
Please tell me how I can use MP3 recording on a Windows 7 system.
Friendly greetings Dox Doigts
P.S. It might be I have posted this topic before, but I can't seem to find it back on the forum.
